How to create a moody, classic dining space: Part One

IMG_7155

For a moody, classic dining room with dark colors and rich textures, you’re aiming for a sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. Here’s how you can achieve that:

1. Wall Colors: Opt for deep, saturated hues like charcoal, navy, or forest green. These tones bring warmth and drama to the room. You could also consider a dark wallpaper with a subtle pattern or texture.

2. Coffered Ceiling: A coffered ceiling adds architectural interest. You can paint the ceiling panels a lighter shade of your wall color to create contrast, or keep the coffered beams in a dark, stained wood for a more classic and luxurious feel.

3. Wall Molding: Add molding in a classic panel design. Paint the molding the same color as the walls for a seamless, dramatic look or contrast it with a slightly lighter or darker shade to highlight the details.
